If you want quintessential space opera, look no further than Star Wars. It’s spawned an incredible amount of fan-made material, but not a lot of it falls into the animation category.

Animation is tough, and I’m particularly in love with people who are carrying on 2d animation in the days when 3D animation reigns triumphant. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t miss the days when hand drawn traditional animation was king because, frankly, most of it was terrible. Being eclipsed has forced it into the realm of true devotees, and it’s produced some strikingly gorgeous results.
