I’ve been telling people – friends, family, random homeless people on the street, anyone who can’t escape, really – that my friend AdriAnne and I have been working on a  book.

Queue the conversation:

Normal person: “What kind of book?”

Me: “It’s a space opera!”

Normal person, puzzled: “That’s nice!” Nothing he says ever makes any sense.
