I 100% get inspiration from stories like these when writing Shadow Run. Ancient civilizations are part of any good space opera, and AdriAnne and I tried to instill a sense of long-gone civilizations still living at the edges of the current story. But just because they are long-gone doesn’t mean they aren’t advanced, or even more advanced than what we’ve got going on now.
